Activision announces online multiplayer for Skylanders SuperCharger
Start your engines! Skylanders SuperChargers will be expanding their toys-to-life gameplay with vehicles-to-life, fans can now experience the magic from Skyland in an entirely different way. For the first time players can now navigate through the mountainous areas all by themselves.
Other than the introduction of the vehicle-to-life, Skylanders SuperChargers now also features Donkey Kong and Bowser: the 2 iconic Nintendo characters. They are new exclusively available together with their specially designed vehicles in the Skylanders SuperChargers Starter Packs for the Nintendo platforms.
In Skylanders SuperChargers players get to play with 20 new SuperCharger characters and 20 new vehicles. Players can also use over 300 Skylander toys from previous games.
Key features for Skylanders SuperChargers:
- Vehicles-to-life
By using the Portal of Power, players can now transport their Skylander vehicles from the real world to the world of Skyland.
- New Heroes
An entirely new group of Skylanders: the SuperChargers. For the first time in history of the franchise, 2 iconic Nintendo characters are available in Skylanders SuperChargers (Donkey Kong and Bowser). They are playable in Skylanders SuperChargers as well as in a couple of amiibo-compatible games. Turbo Charge Donkey Kong and Hammer Slam Bowser are exclusively playable on the Wii U, Wii and Nintendo 3DS.
- Customized Vehicles
In Skylanders SuperChargers players are able to make some cool adaptations to their cars.
- SuperCharged Combos
Players can link their SuperCharger to its unique corresponding signature vehicle. By doing so, creating a SuperCharged combination.
- All-round Gameplay
The game is very dynamic, it features a lot of stories and offers lots of adventures. There are also 20 new toys in several designs and types: race cars, bikes, boats, tanks, helicopters, airplanes, submarines and many more.
- Online Multiplayer Gameplay
For the first time in the history of Skylanders, Skylanders SuperChargers now offers an online multiplayer gameplay for consoles. It also features a voice-chat, which can be used to chat to your fellow competitors.
- Racing Mode
The Racing Mode offers an entirely new way of playing. The mix of racing and fighting gets an extra boost with power-ups, boosts and several dangers that are scattered on your route to the finish. The Racing Mode is available in the Skylanders SuperChargers Pack and delivers 6 new tracks: 2 on land, 2 at sea and 2 in the air. Players who buy Racing Action Packs also get access to extra content. There is a total of 3 Racing Action Packs, each containing 3 special toys.
