Afterimage is releasing the 25th of April, 2023
Afterimage is a Metroidvania game that, much like games such as Hollow Knight, is fully hand-drawn. It’s a 2D game that’s coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, the Switch, and your PC. In Afterimage, a long while after a cataclysm wiped out much of humanity, the remaining humans are under attack by mystic forces. Protagonist and amnesiac Renee leaves her destroyed village on a quest for the truth. Aside from spending talent points on skills of your choosing, there are over 200 pieces of equipment to collect in the game and 6 different weapon classes to master. Until now, there was no release date for the game yet, but apparently it will be the 25th of April, 2023! Together with the release date there also came a new trailer, which you can watch below.
