Private Division and Panache Digital Games launched Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey for PC in the Epic Game Store. Panache Digital Games is an independent development studio co-founded by Patrice Désilets, the original creative director for Assassin’s Creed. In Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, players will experience the beginning of human evolution, millions of years ago. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a third-person Survival and Exploration game, where players start a clan in the ruthless wilds of Africa. The three main mechanics are explorations, expansion, and evolution.
Players start ten million years ago as one of our first ancestors. They sling through a lush jungle, filled with dangerous predators like pythons, sabertooth tigers, alligators, and many more deadly creatures. The players will have to learn more about their character and their environment by exploring and analyzing, thus securing the future of their clan. The game features some RPG elements in unlocking and expanding the neural network. Thanks to these choices you can level up their motor skills, their senses and their intelligence for better communication within the clan. The clan will gradually evolve into a more advanced species that can make more complex decisions and actions during your play experience. Will your clan thrive and evolve into the species it is bound to become, or will you go extinct and fade from history?
