In this exciting new adventure, we follow our heroes as they are called upon by Goudurix, who seeks their help in proving his father’s innocence. The Aquila of Lutetia, a precious gold emblem of the Roman legions, has been stolen, resulting in an innocent man’s imprisonment. Asterix and Obelix take on the task of investigating this crime, journeying to Lutetia and encountering a series of challenges and humorous encounters along the way. The game offers a high-energy Beat’em Up experience, transporting players through captivating locations, from mysterious forest ruins to Roman camps and majestic Lutetia. Each stage unveils new environments, accompanied by exhilarating battles and plenty of slapstick humor. The sequel boasts enhanced action, featuring fiercer enemies and bosses. Asterix and Obelix now possess new moves and can charge up powerful attacks, trigger Fury mode for increased strength, and unleash devastating Ultimate attacks. Additionally, environmental elements can be destroyed, creating chaos during combat, while barrels and menhirs can be hurled at opponents.
Developed by Mr Nutz Studio under the supervision of Les Editions Albert René, Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! 2 stays true to the essence of the beloved Asterix franchise. The game preserves the classic 2D animation style, paying homage to the original comics’ artistry. The partnership between Microids and Les Editions Albert René extends beyond the game, with plans for additional video games and figurines inspired by the Asterix franchise.
