Back to the Dawn arrives on Xbox this week
Spiral Up Games has announced the Xbox launch of their critically acclaimed prison survival RPG, Back to the Dawn. Already available on PC via Steam in Early Access, this release marks both the 1.0 PC release of the game as well as the game’s debut on consoles. Set within the harsh environment of Boulderton Prison, players take on the role of Thomas the Fox, a journalist wrongfully imprisoned after uncovering government secrets. The gameplay combines stealth, strategy, and social dynamics, challenging players to navigate prison politics, forge alliances, and plan a daring escape.
The launch introduces the Black Panther Arc—an all-new storyline featuring Bob the Panther, an undercover cop entangled in his own moral dilemmas. This content update expands the game with new locations, quests, and decision-driven scenarios that further enrich its narrative depth. With its pixel-art aesthetic, branching narratives, and complex character interactions, the Early Access release Back to the Dawn has earned a 92% positive rating on Steam. With full optimization for Xbox Series X|S controls and the addition of significant new content, console players now have the opportunity to experience the game’s unique blend of survival and storytelling. Back to the Dawn will officially launch on Xbox Series X|S on July 18. The Xbox release will be priced at $19.99 USD, with a 15% discount available during the first week.
