Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster coming to the Switch
More good news from Bandai Namco as Baten Kaitos is making its return this summer. Last seen on the Nintendo GameCube it is great to hear that both I & II will be remastered in High Definition for the Switch.
In Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean(I) players will follow the story of Kalas who is out for revenge after losing his brother and grandfather. During his travels, he meets his companion Xelha and both will start their journey to defeat the Alfard Empire.
Baten Kaitos Origins(II) takes place twenty years before the events of the first game. Being part of the Alfard Empire you play as Sagi, a spirited that has a strong connection with the Guardian Spirits. After being set up he goes out to clear his name and uncover the secrets of the empire.
For many players, it will be the ideal moment to (re)discover the series and for European players, it is even the first time that they will be able to play Baten Kaitos II. This emotional rollercoaster of a card-based RPG is guaranteed to peak the interests of many Switch owners worldwide.
This remaster is planned for this summer but a release date is still T.B.A.
