Batora: Lost Haven Announced

Developer Stomind Games announced today their brand new story-driven original title called Batora: Lost Haven, which is an action RPG that balances between brains and brawn. Batora follows Avril – an ordinary 16-year old girl, unknown to the hero world, who comes to the conclusion, after losing everything dear to her, that she is the one that can prevent her dying planet Earth from ending in complete and utter oblivion. Along the journey she will undertake, she will visit colorful and mysterious planets and meet intriguing characters while learning that every choice made is mirrored by a consequence.

Distancing itself from other action RPGs, Batora is based on the duality between the mind and body, introducing a new game mechanic that challenges players to find the perfect balance between the two. Investing more into one will mean the imminent end of the journey. Every decision will have an impact on the lives Avril meets along the way. Different decisions will carry out different outcomes for her and those around her. Mastering the balance between both the physical and mental states of oneself will bring a multi-branching narrative full of consequences, rich in plot twists and credible, likable characters.

By using this remarkable skill of duality, players will be given the opportunity to use the “switch mechanic” to shift between their physical and mental states. Mastering the right timing to use this ability will be a tipping point of reaching new heights, thus reaching the main goal. This surely will not be an easy task, as it will prove challenging to even the most experienced players.

  • A new challenging game mechanic balancing Mind and Body.
  • Multi-branching narrative, full of consequences and rich plot twists.
