Blasphemous is back baby!
Popular because of its gameplay and unique style, the original Blasphemous won many awards and the hearts of gamers. The game has a lot of disturbing, church-related imagery and plays like a great Metroidvania. While the ending of Blasphemous seemed pretty closed, the game now gets a follow-up with The Penitent One a.k.a the protagonist from the first game. The player awakens away from what should have been their final resting place and seems to be tasked with stopping the birth of a new “miracle child” (The Miracle was a supernatural entity from the first game) as all will be lost otherwise.
