Call of Duty: Ghosts

Call of Duty: Ghosts

The next game in the Call of Duty franchise has been announced and Activision is continuing with the every other year Call of Duty developer games. Last year we saw the release of Black Ops 2 by Treyarch this year its Infinity Wards turn, however its not going to be another Modern Warfare title.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is the upcoming Infinity Ward title in the Call of Duty franchise and seems to focus and shed light on the fan favourite character from the Modern Warfare series Ghost. The teaser trailer that has been released doesn’t give us much to go on other than the fact that hey these military guys all wear masks. HARDCORE!

Ghost is set to release this year on November 5th, the game is set to be the jumping off point for the next generation consoles and will be on the 360, PS3, PC, and “Next Generation Platforms”. I find it curious that the Wii U isn’t mentioned in this list of platforms.

The game is going to use a new next-gen game engine to power the game. The next time we will be seeing anything from the game will be at Microsoft’s Xbox: The Next Generation Revealed event on May 21st which is where everyone is expecting Microsoft to reveal their new console that will be released later this year.

“We saw the console transition as the perfect opportunity to start a new chapter for Call of Duty. So we’re building a new sub-brand, a new engine, and a lot of new ideas and experiences for our players. We can’t wait to share them with our community.” Mark Rubin, executive producer of  Infinity Ward

Ghost is now available to pre-order at your local game shops.
