Celebrate 30 years of Cotton this Halloween!
Halloween is right around the corner and that means that everyone’s favorite candy-obsessed witch, Nata de Cotton is nearby as well. A while ago, we took a look at Cotton Reboot! on the Switch, but given that this year is the Cotton franchise’s 30th anniversary, it’s not a surprise that two new titles are on the way. This Friday sees the release of both Cotton 100% and Panorama Cotton, two iconic entries in the series on PS4 and Switch. 1994’s Cotton 100% is generally considered a great introduction to the addictive, pseudo-3D rail shooter franchise as it has a lower barrier of entry and brings along the best of the classic gameplay Cotton is known for. If you’re looking for something different, Cotton Panorama brings a new twist to the series, with a burnt willow suddenly appearing in the Queen’s garden, seemingly influencing her behavior in increasingly strange ways. It is up to Cotton and Silk to go on a journey to find the evil willow burner to bring an end to this disaster.
If you’re looking to treat yourself to a special treat this Halloween, you can pick up a collector’s edition of Cotton 100% or Panorama Cotton (or both) over at the Strictly Limited Games store, although you’ll have to act fast as there are only 1500 copies available for the Switch and 800 for the PS4 for each of these games. For added retro goodness, there are also SNES compatible cartridges available for Cotton 100% and Sega Genesis/Megadrive cartridges for Panorama Cotton, again in limited numbers. Of course, regular physical editions are available as well for Switch and PS4, but if you have any prior experience with Strictly Limited games, then you know that these tend to sell out fast. We recommend you hurry if you want to secure your own physical copy of 100% Cotton or Cotton Panorama. Should you miss out, you can still get the digital versions of course, when they launch this Friday on the PS Store and the Nintendo eShop.
