Character substitution feature for Samurai Warriors 4 Empires

Koei Tecmo has released new videos and assets today that emphasise the character substitution and castle customisation features included in upcoming strategy game Samurai Warriors 4 EmpiresDue for release in Europe on the 11th of March 2016, this game will be available for PS4 exclusively.

Character substitution is one of the main elements that you can expect in Samurai Warriors. You will be able to fully create and customise your playable character, including features like appearance, leadership, wisdom, politics attributes, move sets, personalised family crests, Musou kanji, and portraits uploaded from a hard drive. Characters will then be fully immersed in the drama of the era, with the opportunity to become part of the lives of historical figures and even swap an historical character with a custom character in unlocked movies and cutscenes.

Castle customisation is another important element in the game. Not only can you build a castle to your own specs, but you can also decorate it with unlockable wallpapers, or banners that you collect from completing missions- which is worth doing, since these offer extra bonuses such as increased income, supplies, commerce, fame, and so on.

Be prepared also to exploit in-game resources of conquered territories, especially when you are ruling over a territory with one or more facilities, as this can increase the number of related policies available to you. Facilities available include Mines, which boost your gold and silver count; a Trading Post; a Gunsmith to upgrade your army; Horse Farms for mounted units; Ninja Village, which allows for assassination missions; Hot Springs to allow for relaxation before and after battle, and many more. Make sure to use these for tactical and strategic advantages!
