Crusader Kings II: Charlemagne is available now
Crusader Kings II’s latest expansion, Charlemagne, allows players to get familiar with the father of Europe. Charlemagne signalled the change of the Dark Ages into the medieval world and you’ll be able to experience that. Biggest features of the expansion are the ability to start a dynasty starting as far back as 769 AD, a series of story events surrounding Charlemagne and the ability to chart your own place in history through a “Chronicle”. Accompanying the expansion is a bunch of free updates to the core game including a major overhaul of the nomadic tribes of Europe. There’s also some additional DLC like new Dynasty Shields and portrait packs.
Crusader Kings II: Charlemagne is available now on PC, Linux and Mac but requires the core game to play. The trailer below offers a look at the new expansion.
