Desperados turns 20 and celebrates in style
It has been 20 years since Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive was released by Black Forest Games, then known as Spellbound Entertainment. Two decades and two sequels later, the developer is celebrating the 20th anniversary with an hour-long video special and a franchise sale. You can check out the video special below and finally get answers for long-running questions, such as ‘Why wasn’t the game called Death Valley?’, ‘Why didn’t a confederate General raising zombie soldiers to continue the American Civil War play a role?’ and perhaps most importantly ‘Why wasn’t Jon Bon Jovi part of the first trailer?’
When you’re done watching, you can head over to Steam, where a special franchise sale for all Desperados games will run until the 23rd of April. You can pick up Desperados III -which won Best German Game at the German Game Awards last week- as well as all of its DLCs with a 50% discount. The original Desperados – Wanted Dead or Alive, Desperados II – Cooper’s Revenge and Helldorado will be 75% off.
