Details for the Blue Mage and Patch 4.5 revealed for Final Fantasy XIV
Following the announcement of the new expansion for Final Fantasy XIV, Shadowbringers, Square Enix has revealed the first gameplay details about the new limited job, Blue Mage. Aside of this, they also announced the details for Patch 4.5.
The Blue Mage Job can be taken on if players have reached level 50.The Blue Mage will unlock all its abilities and skills by defeating monsters. More about the Blue Mage and its skills can be seen in the Blue Mage reveal trailer below.
Patch 4.5 will come in two parts with the first part coming in January of 2019 and the second coming in the end of March 2019. Patch 4.5 will add a lot of content to the game. A small take of the additions:
- New main story quests.
- The finale of The Four Lords.
- New Hildibrand-adventures.
- New instanced dungeons.
- A new raid called the Return to Ivalice.
- New Trials.
- Rival Wings update (new map)
- Gold Saucer (new gate)
- New World Visit-system
More about Patch 4.5 will be announced in the future. The new expansion Shadwobringers will release next summer. More info about Shadowbringers will be shared on the Paris Fan Festival that will take place on the 2nd and 3rd of February and on the Tokyo Fan Festival on the 23rd and 24th of March next year.
