Diablo IV reveals its first limited-time event
The first limited-time event has come to Diablo IV, the Midwinter Blight, and brings with it eternal darkness and bitter cold to the Fractured Peaks. Join forces with Gileon, a hopeful bard, who warns you of the revival of the Red-Cloaked Horror and his Blightfiend minions. These enemies prey on the least happy people, so you must help the inhabitants of Kyovashad find their joy again. This event will run from the 12th of December till the 2nd of January. Take on new quests, event hub upgrades, and bosses to earn seasonal rewards like cosmetics.
Return the joy to Kyovashad through its Midwintersquare. Build a festive experience for visitors and kill the Blightfiends lurking in the Fractured Peaks to collect their Blighted Fragments. Mess up the enemy’s Blighted Revelry by taking down their stacks of human intestines called Frigid Husks to collect Lost Heirlooms and use these to upgrade the square. Take down enough of these Blightfiends to encounter their fearsome leader, the Red-Cloaked Horror. Visit the Collection Table with enough Blighted Fragments, Lost Heirlooms, and other Midwinter Blight resources to exchange them for Midwinter Proofs. These can unlock a bunch of rewards like a Mount trophy, class-specific Back Trophies, Weapon Cosmetics, the Shard of Dawn Offensive Legendary Aspect, Gileon’s Brew, and many more.
