Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition is announced!
Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition will be available from August 31st onwards for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It features a new and improved Arena Mode, enabling Diviniy: Original Sin 2 to offer new challenges to its players. The new Arena Mode contains solo play, online multiplayer PVP and local Hot Seat Mode. It also contains 16 characters of which several new playable ones (like Malady, Zandalor and Radeka), each having their own unique set of abilities.
There are two game modes present: classical Deathmatch and Kill the King. In the latter, both teams have to protect a VIP. These battles take place in 13 arenas, – of which 5 are new. Arenas may contain 3 different types of boxes with spells and scrolls: the Destruction Coffer, the Control Coffer and the Source coffer. Finally, also new are Mutators. These can temporally adjust certain parameters or abilities during gameplay. Examples are wings for Heroes, so they can travel greater distances, or start a sudden death mode in round 7.
