DOOM – New update for DOOM (1993) and DOOM II
A new update has been released on all platforms for DOOM (1993) and DOOM II.
Players will now be able to download add-ons for free in the main menu for both DOOM (1993) and DOOM II. They will be able to pick from a controlled list of megaWAD’s which players will be able to download for free. Players will also be able to vote for which WAD’s they would like to see in the next batch.
With the update also comes something new for the rereleases of the games; 60 FPS support. This is a nice upgrade as the original games only had 35 FPS. Players will now also be able to quicksave by pressing R/R1/RB in the pause menu. To return to your quick save you’ll just have to open the pause menu and press L/L1/LB. A few other features have come with the update to improve upon the games such as a Quick Weapon Select function, Aspect Ratio, and Brightness options.
