Dying Light Receives A Unique Event: Low Gravity
Developer Techland announced today the new upcoming event for Dying Light, called Low Gravity. The event introduces players to a world where they have to defend the Earth from the invasion and influence of alien visitors. Gravity has been modified by someone or something that is pulling the strings from the shadows. This has a strong influence on the way players and their opponents behave in the surrounding environment. Heroes of Harran, during the event, will:
- Jump higher than before.
- Fall much slower.
- Avoid taking damage when falling.
- Use a grappling hook that allows players to quickly pull them towards a target.
Unknown cosmic forces have also affected the infected. Just like players, they will fall much slower and will take no damage when falling. Furthermore, an explosion or dropkick attack will launch them high into the air. The event will also bring some challenges in which players will be rewarded with special in-game content. For defeating 100 enemies participating in the local event, players will be awarded the V-27 Chameleon Machete (gold), while in the global event, for eliminating 100,000,000 infected, players will receive 3 King Upgrades.
Players will also experience interference of forces from outer space through changes in Harran itself – with the ability to find a crashed alien ship, among other things. Low Gravity will last until 01.09.2021, 19:00 CEST.
As a small bonus, Techland has announced that during the event, players will have the opportunity to dress up like an astronaut, and to sweeten up the deal, there will be guns too. The pack is called Astronaut and contains the following:
- Laser rifle – The V-23 Eraser – with laser ammo and a chance to burn enemies
- Stasis pistol – The V-40 Suspender – that’ll put enemies in stasis with every last shell in the magazine
- Machete – The V-27 Shifter – that changes its effect after several consecutive hits
- Outfit – The V-9 Defender Suit – with fall damage reduction
- Buggy skin – The V-39 Star Rover (time to mow the zombie lawn)
The Astronaut pack is available for purchase starting from $2.99/£2.09/€2,99 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. For more information about the Astronaut bundle, make sure to visit the link here.
