Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight now available in Europe
NIS America are pleased to announce another new game, Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight, is available exclusively for the the Nintendo 3DS from today (12/02/16) in Europe. This single player RPG is being marketed as two games in one. Why? Because fans of Etrian Odyssey 2: Heroes of Lagaard are now getting a 3DS update to the original DS game with new graphics, new dungeon layouts and system improvements that were seen in the recent Etrian Odyssey Untold game. That sounds like only one game, right? Wrong! The second part to this bundle is the Untold section with a brand new story mode with a fixed party, voiced dialogue and animated cutscenes that orchestrate the bittersweet tale of the Fafnir Knight and Princess Arianna. With a strong focus on characters and interactions just like Persona Q, you can follow the story of these two characters as they adventure into the ruins Ginnungagap and the Yggdrasil Labyrinth- aided by the hero Flavio and two other mysterious adventurers called Bertrand and Chloe.
Other key features that the game includes:
- Normal difficulty isn’t the only option; in order to welcome new players as well as old, Etrian Odyssey offers a Picnic mode for low difficulty, as well as the Expert mode for veterans, or people who just like to punish themselves when playing games.
- A new character class called the Fafnir, which gives the player the ability to transform into a demonic beast form for ability and attribute enhancement- which can influence the outcome of your battle if you play it right. This class is only available in the Story mode.
- New changes to the Grimoire stone system mean you can customise your entire party and allow members to use abilities from other classes.
