Extinction – Launched today!
Extinction launched today for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. There is a digital and physical edition of the game available, and the “Days of Dolorum” Season Pass which will give you access to the first DLC as well. This DLC named “Jackal Invasion” has been announced to be released in May, and can be purchased separately as well. Extinction has been developed by Iron Galaxy, and is released by and Modus Games.
In this action adventure game you must save humanity from the Ravenii, which are colossal giants thought to only exist in fables. However, these 150-foot-tall bloodthirsty monsters have returned, and they crash with a vengeance upon the humans inhabiting the world of Dolorum. You play as Avil, one of the last remaining Sentinels and the only warrior equipped with the skills to take down the giant Ravenii.
This game features a massive single player campaign which requires you to think strategically to overcome the monsters. Use a combination of melee, skill-based combat and and gravity-defying traversal mechanics to execute devastating assaults. You can use the environment and objects throughout the world to your strategic advantage: you can move either horizontally or vertically, perform wall-runs to get on top of the giants, or destroy objects that stand in your way. Every battlefield is different, ensuring a unique combat situation each time you play. There are different game modes available; next to the campaign you can create unique battlegrounds and challenge players online to compete for the top score in Skirmish Mode, or fight off endless waves of attackers in Extinction Mode.
