Final Fantasy XIV Online drops patch 6.1 – Newfound Adventure on April 12
Final Fantasy XIV Online will be dropping its newest patch (6.1) titled Newfound Adventure on April 12th. During their latest Letter of the Producer live event, Square Enix already showed off some footage for the patch, which is also included in the trailer you can see below. Aside from an abundance of new quests – both story-relevant and side quests – one major update is that the Duty Support System will be expanded to cover content from patch 2, making previous multiplayer dungeons playable in solo mode. Furthermore, the patch adds additional trials, cosmetics, recipes, and the introduction of the (still in beta) Adventurer Plates which will allow you to customize your character portraits and profile. For the full run-down of new features, be sure to check out the official Final Fantasy site.
In the same live event, we got an announcement that The Primals (the official FFXIV band) will be dropping a new album on May 25 and that there’s an upcoming FFXIV Online: Endwalker artbook to be released on 13 September. Pre-orders for this artbook are already available on the site.
