Final Fantasy XIV Online Patch 5.45 available from today
Today sees the arrival of patch 5.45 for Final Fantasy XIV Online. The patch’s flagship feature is the new chapter in the “Save the Queen” questline, a multipart adventure with an engaging story, written by industry veteran Yasumi Matsuno of Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy XII fame. Matsuno also wrote the story of the popular Return to Ivalice alliance raid series in Stormblood. Patch 5.45 continues the battle for the southern front of Bozjan and introduces a new large-scale battle, Delirium Reginae, situated in the ruins of Queen Gunnhildrs kingdom, beneath the remains of the Bozja Citadel.
In addition, the Final Fantasy XIV Announcement Showcase Livestream has been confirmed. It will take place on the 6th of February at 02:30 (GMT+1). During this digital showcase, live announcements will be made that will determine the game’s future for players around the world. The stream can be viewed on YouTube Live as well as the Final Fantasy XIV Online Twitch channel. You can also watch the stream below, and will be able to rewatch it after it has finished.
