Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers – More information revealed!

Final Fantasy XIV’s producer and director Naoki Yoshida revealed a variety of new information and assets about Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers during a live-stream on Twitch, including a new dungeon walkthrough video and a post-launch content release schedule. The video contained a number of dungeons included in Shadowbringers, as well as a first look at the Titania trial battle and high-level raid, Eden. The rest of the information is detailed below.

The planned patches for Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers are Patch 5.01, which is planned on 16th July 2019, and Patch 5.05 which will be released on 30th July 2019. The first patch will mark the launch the normal difficulty high-level raid, Eden. The second will launch the savage difficulty Eden raid and the new treasure hunt dungeon, Lyhe Ghiahl, plus the release of the Allagan tomestone of Phantasmagoria currency.

Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers will bring a lot of new features, content, storylines and even new characters to the game. Familiar allies such as Thancred and Y’shtola will join the Warrior of Light as they encounter new characters such as Ran’jit and Vauthry. There will also be New Worlds added: the Spriggan World will be added to the Chaos data center, and the Twintania World will be added to the Light data center.

Crafting classes will be updated: there will be new actions and adjustments to current actions, major updates to the crafting UI, and easing requirements to unlock existing recipes. Gathering classes have not been forgotten: they will get new actions and traits, updates to the gathering log including spawn time information and the ability to quickly add an alarm to remind players of spawning nodes, as well as easing requirements to unlock existing gathering points.

Besides the updates to the classes, there will be a few system-related updates: the glamour dresser storage capacity will be increased, the retainer and achievement UI will be updated, new tomestones and gatherer/crafter scrips will be added, and much more.

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers has been developed and will be published by Square Enix, and the game will be released on the 2nd of July, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
