Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers – Out now!
Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers has been released today! Shadowbringers is the newest expansion for the MMO RPG Final Fantasy XIV. Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers has been developed and will be published by Square Enix, and is available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Shadowbringers gives the game a whole new start by moving players to Norvrandt, in the First World. This is the first time the Warriors of Light will leave the world of Hydaelyn – as Warriors of Darkness, they must now fight the armies of light to save this world from ruin.
This expansion will adds a wealth of innovations to the game, including:
- Two new jobs: Gunbreaker and Dancer – The Gunbreaker takes on the role of “tank” to protect his party against the frightening power of the gunblade, while the ranged DPS Dancer not only performs powerful attacks but can also strengthen her team.
- Two new breeds: Viera and Hrothgar – the rabbit-like Viera gets company of the fierce, feline Hrothgar, both breeds add unique, customizable features that are specific to their breeds.
- Higher level cap – With the release of Shadowbringers, the level cap is increased to 80. This also makes new actions for classes and jobs available – in addition to new enemies to test your skills.
- Trust System – Players are given the opportunity to enter dungeons with a group of trusted non-player characters, including various Scions of the Seventh Dawn — traditional party-match systems remain available.
- New beast tribes and primals – Players can meet the equally carefree and cruel Pixies in Il Mheg together with their powerful ruler Titania, but also with other Beast Tribes such as the less aggressive Nu Mou and the narrow-minded Dwarves.
Besides these additions, there have been numerous other changes, like changes to the combat system, new equipment and craft recipes, and much more. Even more new content will be added in upcoming patches, including two high-end raids and end-game content for other areas of the game.
