First gameplay trailer or co-op platformer Degrees of Separation released
Today, Modus Games and developer Moondrop are thrilled to share their first gameplay trailer of the upcoming 2D puzzle platformer Degrees of Separation. Releasing on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Steam and Xbox One on February 14th 2019, players take control of two equally powerful characters, controlling heath and cold, traversing a lush environment rife with puzzles and explore themes of closeness and separation.
Emer and Rime’s contrasting abilities require players to consider not only their own actions, but also the actions of their partner. Emer masters heat and Rime masters cold. Individually, their abilities allow them to explore the world in very different ways. But together they can create controllable guts of wind, frozen rivers and platforms where there previously were none.
Accompanied by a touching narrative, written by Chris Avellone (Fallout: New Vegas, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic,…), this game blends together a gentle yet powerful message about the magnetic potential of opposing forces. The atmospheric puzzle-solving takes place in a beautifully executed storybook world.
