Freaky Awesome – Release date announced!
Freaky Awesome is a rogue-lite game full of action and freaky mutations, in a cool retro pixel-art style. This game is developed by the indie studio Mandragora, and will be published by this studio on the 18th of October! The game will set you back $9,99 / €9,99 / £5,99 via Steam, but if you’re quick you’ll be able to take advantage of the launch discount of 10%!
You play as a retired action hero named Sam, who is searching for his lost dog in an old factory which happens to be full of mutated monsters and deadly traps. You’ll need to constantly mutate yourself to be able to be victorious over the masses of freaky enemies attacking you. Gain the powers of awesome mutations to use in combat and defeat the masses of monsters who are all out to destroy you! But be careful.. killed enemies leave a puddle of mutagens which will heal you, but will also eventually mutate you, which can happen at any time, even in the middle of a fight! You’ll be able to unlock new mutations by killing new monsters, gaining their powers and radically changing the combat mechanics of your character every time. Next to these powers of mutations you’ll also be able to use objects in combat, and of course try to use the procedurally generated environments in which you fight to your advantage!
