Free 16-bit sidescrolling shooter Space Runaway out for free
Yes, you’ve read that right! A completely free game is hitting your PC. Space Runaway is a 16-bit style sidescrolling shooter developed by 110 Industries and Soleil. A faithful retro recreation of the shooters of the arcade era, Space Runaway offers seven levels for you to blast your way through, epic bosses to defeat, and a host of cool powerups that you’ll need if you’re going to defeat the alien forces trying to take you down. The game was originally conceived as a mini-game for another title by this developer called Wanted: Dead which is set to release in 2023. After Space Runaway grew into its own thing though, they decided to release it for free on PC, in addition to it still being fully playable as a mini-game. You can get it through Steam already.
