Gearbox and 2K unveil Borderlands 3 “Diamond Keys” – a new reward unique to the upcoming Director’s Cut Add-on
The Director’s Cut add-on for Borderlands 3 brings all-new ways to play from launch on April 8. In addition to a new raid boss, murder mystery story missions, and behind-the-scenes content, the Director’s Cut includes three Vault Cards. These are your ticket to a new progression system with daily and weekly challenges. Completing challenges will progress you through eventually unlocking thematic rewards – including unique Legendary gear, tons of new cosmetic items, and a brand new in-game resource called Diamond Keys.
You may already know the Golden Keys as you can collect them by following Borderlands on social media. Golden Keys unlock the Golden Chest near Marcus Munitions on Sanctuary III. Once opened, the Golden Chest offers a selection of high-end gear suitable for your level. Diamond Keys take it a step further by not only giving you access to a chest but an entire room full of seductive loot: the Diamond Armory. This is located under the Bridge on the top deck of Sanctuary III.

Note that currently, only players who own the Director’s Cut add-on can access the Vault Cards. These cannot be purchased separately. Likewise, Diamond Keys can only be earned through gameplay and cannot be purchased separately. Director’s Cut launches April 8 and is available for purchase separately or as part of Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition or Season Pass 2.
