Gearbox and K2 reveal the upcoming content for Borderlands 3 on next-gen consoles

Just in time for the game’s one year anniversary, this weekend during PAX Online Gearbox Software and K2 gave a full rundown of what the next generation of consoles will mean for Borderlands 3. As was to be expected, the game is going to come to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Everybody who owns the game on Xbox One or PlayStation 3 already can expect a free upgrade should they get the new consoles, including all the in-game content they already bought and their save file being carried over. The long asked for feature of local co-up will finally be added, with split-screen for up to four players – both on the new consoles and as a patch for the current ones. Add-on content was also announced, in the form of new skill trees for all Vault Hunters. Last but certainly not least, an adorable companion pet for FL4K was showcased for the first time.

The complete almost one-hour long showcase can be found on the Gearbox youtube channel or just down below.
