GENSOU Skydrift blasts its way onto PlayStation 4 & 5

The strangest things in the world always seem to come from Japan. GENSOU Skydrift could be considered one of those things: a fangame for the Touhou Project series that was developed by a studio headed by a former Mario Kart dev and published by Phoenixx. It’s a racing game, but one where you drive magical girls instead of cars. Described as a spell-slinging tag-team racer, GENSOU Skydrift lets you make your two-member team out of more than 20 Touhou characters. One girl uses her magic to fly through the air while the other one sits on their back, slinging spells at their opponents. The result is something hilariously Mario Kart like, and was originally released on Steam in 2019. This year, PlayStation players can get in on the fun. GENSOU Skydrift is releasing for PlayStation 4 and 5 on March 9.

A trailer for the game can be seen below.
