Give your viewers control with Square Enix’s Crowd Choice extension for Twitch
Streamers are being offered a brand new way to engage with their audiences when playing story-based narratives such as the Life is Strange series by Square Enix, thanks to that developer’s Crowd Choice extension for Twitch. This extension allows for the streamer to choose between two modes, both engaging with their viewers by letting them vote on the choices being made in the game. The Suggestion mode makes it so that the streamer can simply see the percentages of the votes, but can still make the final call themselves. It will simply inform them of popular opinion within their audience. There’s also a Full Democracy mode, where the streamer gives full control to the audience to choose which path to take in-game by majority vote.
The new feature is available already and can be installed here. It is being released by Square Enix specifically in preparation for Life is Strange: True Colors, their new game which launches on September 9th.
