Goner stomps its way onto Kickstarter

August 4th marks the launch of the Kickstarter campaign for Goner, a dinosaur-themed 3D survival horror game. Currently under development by Spanish indie studio Loco Players, Goner is targetting a 2021 release through Steam. The game sees players embark on a journey of primal terror as they step into the shoes of Anthony Sunder, who is looking for his missing mother and her expedition crew. This quest will bring him to a mysterious island, inhabited by hostile members of a lost civilization and fauna that was supposedly extinct. The game is somewhat of a spiritual successor to Dino Crisis, being the first single player, story driven survival horror game with a dinosaur theme in 20 years.

The Kickstarter campaign will help Loco Players secure more funds to cover production and development costs. These funds are critical for improving core features such as animations, models and textures, as well as eventual ports to consoles and VR devices. If you’re interested in making Goner a reality, you can sign up to be notified when the campaign goes live through Loco Players’ Kickstarter page for the game.
