Haunted Lands launches its playtest today!
Prepare to confront supernatural forces, monstrous creatures, and cultists in Haunted Lands, a retro, action platformer inspired by John Romero’s Dangerous Dave, developed by Alevgor and published by Alawar. In Haunted Lands, players take on the role of a hero tasked with purging a cursed burial ground. They can choose from five distinct characters: a Gunner for ranged combat, a Beast with agile melee attacks, or a Mage wielding powerful lightning spells. Enemies include relentless minions, formidable cultists, and elite adversaries, culminating in challenging boss encounters. Throughout the game, players can collect artifacts to enhance their characters’ offensive and defensive capabilities. Some of the most powerful artifacts can even alter a character’s abilities, adding further depth to the gameplay. Those seeking an additional challenge can attempt to complete every objective and uncover hidden secrets scattered throughout the haunted world.
