Hearthstone – Galakrond’s Awakening will be available soon
After Descent of Dragons, the final battle between Azeroth’s mightiest heroes and wickedest villains is the final epic event to bring the Year of the Dragon to a close.
Galakrond’s Awakening is the highly anticipated Solo Adventure where it’s all going down. The story has been building up for a whole year starting from 2019, which was the Year of the Dragon. In the Solo Adventure format, players will take on a series of unique boss encounters with pre-build decks to earn 35 new collectible cards. These cards can then be used in Standard or Wild decks to switch up the metagame.
“The Year of the Dragon has been a dynamic and exciting one for Hearthstone, with a series of meta-shifting expansions, an ambitious year-long story, and a rapid cadence of new features and updates that have fundamentally evolved the game,” said J. Allen Brack, president of Blizzard Entertainment. “Galakrond’s Awakening will bring the story we’ve been telling in the game all year to an epic and fitting conclusion, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
Galakrond’s Awakening will take place across two campaigns, one where players will take on the role of the League of E.V.I.L and another where players will take on the role of the League of Explorers. The solo adventure consists of four installments that will get released weekly starting the 21st of January. Each installment will include two chapters, one for the League of E.V.I.L and another for the League of Explorers so in total eight chapters. All players will be able to experience the League of E.V.I.L completely free and will be able to earn four new cards if they complete it. The other individual installments will be available, separately or as a bundle, for purchase. Players who pre-purchase the bundle will also receive a Golden Classic Pack.
Galakrond’s Awakening will be available from the 21st of January in HearthStone on PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
