Hell is Others gets a launch date and a closed beta!
Today, publisher A List Games and Italian-based indie game studios Strelka Games and Yonder announced the release date for Hell is Others, their upcoming online multiplayer horror top-down shooter game. The game is headed to Steam in October, with a closed beta starting later this week. Players interested in participating in this beta can sign up on the game’s Steam page by clicking the “Request Access” button beneath “Join the Hell is Others Playtest” section.
In Hell is Others, players take on the role of Adam Smithson as he does his best to exist in his tiny apartment, alone, high above Century City. His only companion is a bonsai tree, which he dutifully cares for. But like everything else in the city, his plant requires blood to survive. So Adam is forced to find a regular supply on the dark streets below. A hybrid of customization mechanics and extraction-style gameplay, all set in a surreal, noir world, Hell is Others is a David Lynch-vibes game that features pixel graphics and a deeply compelling story. It is a slice of life in a nightmare city. You can check out the trailer for the game below, ahead of the game’s full launch on Steam, which is set for October 20th.
