Utopia No.8 gets described by its Taiwanese development team Happy Tomato as a ‘Social MMO’. The main gameplay revolves around breeding and raising digital pets in an online open world while interacting with other people, with a lot of focus on creativity. Players are invited to make their own designs for clothes and items to sell to other players as well as perform karaoke on stage for others. The game plans to uplift streamers by making the game collaborative and stream-friendly, joining with a lot of brands to make this happen. The designs you make in the game might also be chosen to be produced in real life to make actual money. All in all, pretty ambitious stuff. Utopia No.8 plans to launch a Kickstarter next month to raise funds. People who contribute will not only gain access to the Alpha phase which is planned for June but also get exclusive cosmetic items in the game once it releases. Happy Tomato has also shared a survey on their Twitter where people can give their input on what kind of content they want to see in this MMO.
