High-definition remake of NieR: Replicant is in the works

Fans of NieR: Automata are in for a treat, as Square Enix has made it known that the first NieR game will, at last, become widely available for a Western audience. The first NieR game, in itself a spin-off of the Drakengard series, was released in Japan in 2010 but always stood in the shadow of its much more popular successor NieR: Automata, which did get a heavily publicized international release in 2017. Now Square Enix hopes to right that wrong and draw new players into the post-apocalyptic fantasy RPG world of NieR by re-releasing a remastered version of NieR: Replicant for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. The remaster will have the lengthy title of NieR: Replicant ver 122474487139 … and while no date has been announced as of yet, a teaser trailer that sets the mood can be viewed down below.
