Home Release – Patria
Patria, a Dutch movie about World War I made by Klaas van Eijkeren, will be releasing next week.
In the movie, we’ll see how Arthur Knaap (Timothy Flohr), a young man with a Dutch/Indian origin, decided to go and fight for France together with his friend Martinus Kriens (Gabriel van Eekelen). After being trained to perform in the army, Arthur soon discovers that fighting a war isn’t the most romantic thing in the world. To get his mind off of things, he writes his parents continuously while he tries to cover up the bad circumstances in which he’s living currently. Patria proves to be a very strong but emotional movie.
Patria will be available for purchase on DVD on the 25th of November.
