IREM Collection delivers Japanese retro goodness later this year

German game publisher ININ Games, alongside Tozai Games and IREM, has revealed their upcoming collaboration, the IREM Collection. This will include five volumes of classic arcade games, some of which have never been released in the West before. The partnership is set to introduce a new generation of gamers to the iconic titles and preserve the nostalgia of retro gaming for years to come. IREM gained worldwide recognition in the 1980s through their arcade games, but many of their titles remained exclusive to Japan until now.

The first volume of the IREM Collection, which includes Image Fight, Image Fight II, and X Multiply, will be released on PS4/5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch by the end of 2023. The collection also features Image Fight in its 1990 PC Engine version, which was previously exclusive to Japan, as well as the 1990 NES version, which was only sold in Japan and North America. Strictly Limited Games is set to release exclusive physical editions of the IREM Collection, with further details to be announced soon. The IREM Collection is a celebration of classic arcade gaming, and gamers can look forward to immersive gameplay, nostalgic graphics, and an unforgettable soundtrack. No trailer for this exciting release has been revealed yet. For more info, check out the official website.
