It’s a trifecta of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising news!
Today, Cygames, Inc. announced the release of the Version 1.30 update for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (GBVSR). Developed by Arc System Works Co., Ltd., the update is available for PS5, PS4, and Steam. This update introduces the new playable character Vane and the Shadowverse Premium Avatar Set, alongside adjustments to the battle system and characters. Additionally, the third tie-in GBVSR Premium Avatar set is now available as paid DLC, featuring Arisa, Luna, and Rowen from Shadowverse. These premium avatars can be set as partners to provide advice and encouragement during gameplay. The set also includes badges for decorating in-game profiles and Weapon Cutouts for the Forest Guardian’s Bow and Dragonslayer Spear. Access to this paid content requires the latest update.
In addition to the update details, Cygames announced Arc World Tour 2024, a series of international events in which participants compete in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising for the title of world champion. This season will see an increased number of Arc World Tour qualifier tournaments across various regions, promising heightened competition. The 2024 tour will include both online and offline qualifier events, with the first event scheduled for EVO Japan 2024, from April 27 to 29. Further details will be provided later.
Finally, on April 1, alternate character illustrations by the Japanese creative art team AC-bu were integrated into the Skyfarer Card Maker. Players can utilize the Skyfarer Card Maker to create personal profiles showcasing their favorite characters, preferred playstyle, and more. These profiles can be shared with other players on social media platforms. The Skyfarer Card Maker, along with a special animated short by AC-bu, is available on the GBVSR official website.
