IXION adds difficulty settings in free update
Sci-fi city-builder IXION was enjoyed by many since coming out, including our own team as you can read in our review here. The game originally only came with a default difficulty setting, but a free update has now added some variety. ‘Journey’ is a mode for novice players or people who want to explore the narrative without needing to be very good at the city-building mechanics of the game. Meanwhile, ‘challenge’ is a test of skill for experienced players. The fourth and last difficulty setting is fully-customizable and allows players to adjust a wide variety of game mechanics to their taste. These customizable parameters are also tweakable mid-game if players need a change of pace. Lastly, a new achievement was added for players who tackle and finish the game on the ‘challenge’ difficulty setting.
