LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar 2025 – Review

While we are still a bit early, the holiday season is coming up soon, and if there’s one thing we loved as kids, it was the annual Advent calendar. At the risk of sounding ancient, back in the day, we would usually receive an Advent calendar that contained a small piece of chocolate for every day leading up to Christmas. In the last decade or two, this has evolved from presenting kids (and adults) with daily chocolates to actual collectibles and toys. For our first of two LEGO Advent Calendar reviews, we’ll be taking a closer look at the LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar for 2025. While we started our countdown to Christmas perhaps a bit too early, we still quite enjoyed what this new LEGO ‘set’ had to offer.

Let’s face it, Harry Potter and its entire ‘universe’ is here to stay, whether you’re a huge fan or not. The franchise has a lot of fans all across the globe, and there’s so much merchandise that will keep collectors and enthusiasts pleased for many years to come. Harry Potter was also one of the earlier LEGO collaborations, and thanks to its popularity, many sets have also seen daylight as a result. Over the years, we have also been tempted by some of the LEGO Harry Potter products, and we thoroughly enjoyed building them. So, being able to check out the newest LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar did get us rather enthusiastic.

The LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar for 2025 does come with quite a few interesting minifigures (eight to be exact) and some tiny versions of iconic props or creatures from the movies and books. You’ll be treated to some Fantastic Beasts and even nifty things like the Sorting Hat. The minifigures will add several iconic characters to the mix, making this a fairly balanced package. As always, the LEGO Advent Calendars come in a sturdy box with a foldable cover that allows you to display the items you get out of the set.

Unexpectedly, the building time is very limited when it comes to the different buildable items of this new Harry Potter Advent Calendar. The minifigures will require the least building time, and the small additional items will only keep you occupied for around a minute (or less) to build them. These Advent calendars are mainly ideal as a small treat for children, collectors, or minifigure enthusiasts who want to expand their themed collection. Some may argue that the price of picking up this set may be a bit steep, but when looking at similar tiny items separately, you’re still getting quite a few cool things for a fairly reasonable price.

Conclusion

LEGO’s Harry Potter Advent Calendar for 2025 is a nifty little treat for the kids (or yourself) this holiday season. While the building time is obviously limited, there are fun themed minifigures and cool tiny builds to add to your ever-growing LEGO Harry Potter collection. Even for those who might not have a huge LEGO collection and are simply into Harry Potter-themed merchandise, this is a cute gift idea.
