Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim will be available from April 16!
In The War of the Rohirrim you’ll return to Middle Earth, the world that came to life in the Lord of the Rings trilogy based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s books. It’s an animated fantasy film by Kenji Kamiyama where you’ll learn more about the history and legendary warriors of Rohan. The film will be available on Prime Video, Google, YouTube, Rakuten, Telenet, Apple TV, and on DVD, Blu-ray, and Steelbook 4K UHD from 16 April and features voice talent including Miranda Otto and Brian Cox.
Set 183 years before the events of the original trilogy, The War of the Rohirrim tells the story of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary king of Rohan. Unexpectedly attacked by Wulf, the leader of the Dunlendings who’s out to avenge his father’s death, Helm and his people are forced to seek refuge in an ancient fortress called Hornburg. It’s a stronghold in the valley that will later become known as Helm’s Deep. As Helm’s daughter Héra sees their situation growing desperate, she summons the courage to lead the resistance against a deadly enemy bent on extermination.
