Lords of Exile hits its first Kickstarter milestone
Lords of Exile, the 8-bit side-scrolling action platformer developed by Squidbit Works has hit its first Kickstarter milestone by being funded within 48 hours of going live. With 23 days left to go, things are looking good for the retro-styled game. Squidbit Works are now working towards the funds to get several video game music legends on board. If the campaign manages to raise enough money, then retro enthusiasts will see the game’s soundtrack created by people like Yuzo Koshiro, Pentadrangle and Dominic Ninmark.
Lords of Exile is a love letter to old-school action platformers such as Castlevania, albeit with a linear level design. The game is set to release on May 25, 2021 through Steam. It will also be available on Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. If you want to make the game’s improved soundtrack a reality, you can help by backing the game on Kickstarter.
