Lost Words: Beyond the Page brings its narrative magic to PC and consoles today

Today sees the arrival of Sketchbook Games’ narrative-driven puzzler Lost Words: Beyond the Page on consoles and PC. The game, which is published by Modus Games, was previously released as an exclusive title on Google Stadia. Lost Words: Beyond the Page delivers the touching story of Izzy, a young girl who is coming to terms with life’s hardships by creating the adventure of a lifetime within the pages of her diary. The story was written by renowned writer Rhianna Pratchett, whom you may know from such titles as Mirror’s Edge and Rise of the Tomb Raider. With Lost Words, Pratchett offers up a captivating adventure wrapped in an overarching and undeniably touching narrative. The game managed to snag several awards, including Best Indie Game at Game Connection Paris, Excellence in Narrative at DevGAMM, Best Audio Design from TIGA, Special Selection Indie Award at Reboot Develop and Best Story at Game Connection USA.

The game is built around interacting with the words Izzy writes in her diary, allowing players to solve challenging puzzles and build new and unique platforming segments. As they do so, the world evolves around them. Words become useful stepping stones and new puzzle-solving methods are unlocked, allowing players to move on to the next chapter. Lost Words: Beyond the Page is available now on PC, Switch, PS4 and Xbox One.
