Movie tycoon simulation games seem to be on the rise, since there’s been a few new ones coming out in the past years. One title to sink your teeth into if you like the genre is The Executive. Inspired by the very successful Game Dev Tycoon, this sandbox business simulation game allows you to start your own movie studio and make feature films starting from the 70s to the current time. This lets you relive the rise and changes within the industry over the years. According to the devs, there are all the expected mechanics from this sort of game but also some we haven’t seen before, such as the ability to make franchises or strike deals with streaming services. The Executive is available now on Steam, enjoying a 10% discount to celebrate the release.
