Marvel’s Avengers Operation: Kate Bishop – Taking AIM is out now and ready to play

The first additional playable hero, and protagonist of the all-new Marvel’s Avengers Operation: Kate Bishop – Taking AIM, is now available as a free download for all owners of the game. In addition to Kate Bishop, the new playable superhero voiced by Ashly Burch, and the next chapter in the game’s ongoing Avengers Initiative story, Marvel’s Avengers Operation: Kate Bishop – Taking AIM introduces a mighty new villain, the Super Adaptoid, who will challenge players with a combination of skills and weapons that have been recreated from the Avengers.

In Taking AIM, Kate Bishop, a master archer and skilled athlete reappears and joins the party. Her investigation into Nick Fury’s disappearance following A-Day led to her mentor Clint Barton (aka Hawkeye) disappearing as well. As she unravels the mystery behind the sudden appearance of the time-warping Tachyon Rifts, she discovers a new, insane plan from AIM, prompting her to team up with the Avengers again.

The story of Taking AIM begins shortly after the conclusion of Marvel’s Avengers’ Reassemble campaign and is only half of the storyline of the two Hawkeyes. Clint Barton’s Hawkeye will also take to the battlefield in early 2021 to complete the double feature and lay the groundwork for the next chapter in the Avengers Initiative.

Marvel’s Avengers is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Marvel’s Avengers are also playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S via backward compatibility.

Players who own the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version of the game can later upgrade to the full next-gen version at no additional cost. Players will also be available to move their save files to the next-gen consoles, including their player profiles and progress so that they can continue playing on the new consoles from where they left off. In addition, support for cross-gen play allows PS5 players to play together with friends who play on the PS4, while Xbox Series X players can play together with their friends who play on an Xbox One.
