Microsoft Flight Simulator takes off today

Today marks the launch of the beta version of Microsoft Flight Simulator. Developed by Asobo Studio and published by Microsoft, budding pilots can try out the simulator today through Xbox Game Pass for PC on Windows 10 as well as through Steam. It’s been 14 years since the previous entry in the series, Microsoft Flight Simulator X. The new beta version marks the 11th game in the series.

To celebrate the return of the beloved franchise, all players will be able to claim a free Aviators Club livery set up until September 30th. This unique gift is a thank you for those that choose to take flight among the first ones. The beta launch is also just the beginning: the developer roadmap is continuously adjusted and already promises a ton of simulator updates, including free world updates, DLC, VR support and more. In addition, 3rd party developers will also provide new content in the future. A full overview of the launch content, as well as a look into the future of the game, was posted on Xbox Wire today.
