Microsoft reveals first details for Xbox Series X

With Sony releasing statement after statement about the upcoming Playstation 5 console and being in the news constantly, it’s not a big surprise Microsoft thought it time to reveal some more of what they’re working on too. We already knew the new console would be called the Xbox series X, but in their latest statement Phil Spencer called it ‘a superior balance of power and speed’. This means their new processor has 12 TFLOPS of GPU, which will translate to higher framerates, less loading screens and the possibility for developers to create larger game worlds with more immersive elements. Microsoft has also confirmed that the Xbox Series X will support backward-compatible gaming, meaning you’ll be able to play all your old Xbox games on top of the exclusive ones that will be releasing for this particular console.
