More of the new technology behind the Xbox Series X gets revealed
In the midst of all the chaos going around now, Microsoft is still hard at work delivering their new console. More and more details about the Xbox Series X are slowly being revealed, including the more technical information behind the development of the new generation of consoles. Will Tuttle, Xbox Wire Editor in Chief, has confirmed the main focus of the new Xbox is going to be the perfect combination of power, speed, and compatibility. Powered by an 8 core AMD Zen 2 CPU and an RDNA 2-class GPU, we can expect frame rates of up to 120 fps, even for games running in 4k. We can also enjoy one whole TB of internal storage, with the option of adding external storage of course remaining. Microsoft has also been raving about the inclusion of Hardware Accelerated DirectX Raytracing technology (DXR for short) which is said to simulate light and sound in real-time, in a way that previous consoles never could, promising for an even more immersive experience of all our favorite games.
